Holiday Tech Gift Ideas 2015-2016: Power Banks

Power Banks always make a great gift for anyone with a smartphone. Seeing as most smartphones just can't last the full day anymore (of course that all depends on how you use your smartphone), picking up a power bank means they can charge their phone throughout the day if need be. We've added three of our favorites to this list, some are small, some are large, all are great choices.

Anker PowerCore 20100

This PowerCore 20100 from Anker is a great power bank to pick up for those hardcore users. As this boasts a capacity of 20,100mAh, it is able to charge your smartphone about 6-7 times before needing to be recharged itself. It also has two USB ports, allowing you to charge two devices at once, whether that be a smartphone and a tablet, a smartphone and a smartwatch or whatever. Definitely a good buy.

RAVPower 3200mAh Power Bank

For those that might not want to carry around a big power bank, this smaller one is a great gift. It's a capacity of 3200mAh, so it'll charge your phone once and that's about it. However it is much smaller and lightweight. It also takes about 2 hours to charge, instead of 4+ hours. The battery cells inside are graded to last about 500 charge cycles, so that should last quite a while. A great stocking stuffer this holiday season, especially for the ladies that don't want a big heavy battery pack in their purse every day. This particular battery pack is the size of a lipstick.

Aukey Quick Charge 2.0 10,400mAh Power Bank

Now this one is a bit different from the others on this list. This is a Quick Charge 2.0 power bank. Meaning that it will charge your compatible smartphone about twice as fast as normal. However, if your smartphone isn't compatible with Quick Charge 2.0, don't worry it is backwards compatible and won't overcharge your smartphone or tablet. It'll just take a bit longer to charge. This particular battery pack has a 10,400mAh capacity, so it should charge your phone at least 3 times before needing to be recharged itself. It's definitely a great choice for anyone that is a tech geek, this holiday season.
