Google Offering 'Buy A Movie, Gift A Movie' Deal

Google's on-demand video service, Play Movies & TV is available in over 100 countries and in many platforms including Android, iOS, Roku and more recently through some LG Smart TVs. Users can rent movies to watch over a certain period of time or they can buy content to watch whenever they want. TV shows can only be purchased, and users can buy single episodes or an entire season. Most videos are available in SD and HD quality with 5.1 surround sound. The mobile app is constantly updated and it now offers notifications whenever a new episode of a TV show you are watching or a movie you had in your wishlist becomes available, or whenever the price for such content drops down.

The Holiday season is a time to share and it's also known for some special offers or deals, so Google Play Movies & TV has launched a promotion that lets you share select movie titles with whomever you like. The deal is available from today and until December 17. All you need to do is sign-in to your account and choose one of the participating titles to purchase, then you'll get an email with a code for that same title, so you can share it with another person.

The list of participating titles is quite short, but there might be something for everyone's taste. It includes classics such as E.T., Back to the Future or Jurassic Park. In addition to some of those, families can gather together to watch Despicable Me and Despicable Me 2. For those who want a little more action, there's Fast and Furious 6. Pitch Perfect is available for those who like music and comedy. Finally, the romantic comedy Love Actually might be a good choice to watch around this time as it is set during Christmas. It is important to notice that the promotion is only available in the US and it is only available when users buy one of these movies, renting them won't get you the free movie. So if you know someone who likes any of these movies, it could be a nice digital gift for you and that person.

I've loved technology ever since I touched a computer and I got to experience the transition to mobile devices which was amazing! I got into Android with the Samsung Galaxy S2 and I currently own a Sony Xperia Z3 and a Nexus 7 because I really like the look of vanilla Android. My interests include movies, music, art and mathematics.
