Gold-Colored Nexus 6P Might Soon Become Available In The US

Unlike previous years, Google has decided to release two Nexus handsets this time around. The Mountain View giant has introduced the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P back in September. The Nexus 5X is made by LG, and is the more affordable of the two. The Nexus 6P, on the other hand, has been manufactured by Huawei, and is Google's flagship (phablet) for 2016. That being said, both of these devices have been available for purchase in various markets around the world for quite some time now. Google has actually decided to release a new variant of the Nexus 6P rather recently, well, a differently colored Nexus 6P. This handset was unveiled in Japan, and we had no idea if it will be available elsewhere, but a new report sheds some light on that, read on.

According to a new report, the Gold Nexus 6P will be available in the U.S. via Best Buy soon. It is possible that this announcement will happen during CES, but nothing has been confirmed just yet, it remains to be seen if, and when will this be announced. The Gold Nexus 6P is actually identical to the regular variant of the device, but sports a different color, that's basically it. We've been seeing more and more gold-colored devices being launched lately, so it's not exactly all that surprising Google has decided to release such a device as well. In case you'd like to check out how the Nexus 6P looks, check ou the provided renders in the gallery down below taken from the listing in Japan.

The Nexus 6P is made out of metal, and it sports a 5.7-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) AMOLED display up front. The device ships with 3GB of RAM and 32, 64 or 128GB of non-expandable internal storage. The Nexus 6P is fueled by the Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor along with an Adreno 430 GPU for graphics. The 12.3-megapixel shooter is placed on the back of the Nexus 6P, and an 8-megapixel snapper can be found up front. Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes pre-installed on this handset, and the phone also offers Type-C charging port and fast charging. Speaking of which, the 3,450mAh battery is also a part of this package, and the phablet measures 159.3 x 77.8 x 7.3mm, while it weighs 178 grams.
