Elephone has been pretty busy lately. This company has announced a number of really interesting devices thus far, though not all of them are yet available. The P7000 and P8000 devices we've reviewed are quite solid and affordable smartphones, but the P9000 and Vowney are even more interesting. The Vowney has already been released, and three P9000 devices will arrive next month, one of which will have no bezel on the sides. That being said, the company is also working on an Android Wear-powered smartwatch, the ELE Watch, which has been teased a number of times thus far, and which should arrive this month.
That being said, the ELE Watch is not the only smartwatch Elephone plans to release in the coming weeks. Our source at the company has actually sent us some details regarding yet another such smartwatch, the Elephone W2. It seems like this watch won't be powered by Android Wear, but it will sport a rather interesting design and functions. If you take a look at the provided image, you'll get to see the watch in the flesh. We don't get to see the whole thing, but the image does show us that the watch will be made out of metal, and it seems like it will sport three physical buttons on the right-hand side. The watch will sport a circular display, and a leather band it seems.
Our source has also said that the watch will launch along with the P9000, so you can expect it to arrive in December, as I've already mentioned. The Elephone W2 will sport various fitness-related functions, and it will offer sleep monitoring as well. The 'intelligent wake-up alarm' will also be a part of this offering, even though we don't know what exactly that means at this point. One more thing, this smartwatch will be really affordable, as are the rest of Elephone's devices. This smartwatch will almost certainly cost less than the ELE Watch, but we still don't know how much exactly. Either way, if we receive any additional info regarding the Elephone W2, we'll make sure to let you know, stay tuned.
