Champagne OnePlus X Available In North America Next Month

As most of you know, OnePlus has released two smartphones this year, the OnePlus 2 flagship, and their OnePlus X mid-ranger. Both of these devices have been available for purchase for quite some time now, and the OnePlus 2 can even be bought without an invite now. OnePlus still requires you to own an invite if you'd like to purchase the OnePlus X, on every day except Tuesday. Starting last week, OnePlus has allowed consumers to purchase the OnePlus X on Tuesdays without an invite, which certainly is an improvement.

That being said, this China-based company has introduced two OnePlus X variants at launch, the OnePlus X Onyx and OnePlus X Limited Edition Ceramic version. Well, a new variant of the device has been unveiled by OnePlus recently, the Champagne Edition. This handset looks the same as the previously mentioned variants, and it also sports the same set of specs, but it looks differently. It's white with a champagne-colored frame which goes around the device, and the company said that only 2,500 units will be available. The Champagne Edition of OnePlus X became available in select regions (Europe & Hong Kong) yesterday, and OnePlus has released more info on when will it start selling this phone in the US. The company wasn't exactly specific, but they did say that this handset will roll out to the US in January, so those of you who are looking to buy one, you'll need to wait a bit longer in order to do it. The company, however, once again failed to mention when will the Ceramic variant of the device become available in the States, we'll report back as soon as we get more info regarding that.

The OnePlus X features a 5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) AMOLED display along with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable internal storage. This smartphone is fueled by the Snapdragon 801 quad-core SoC along with an Adreno 330 GPU. The 13-megapixel shooter is available on the back of this phone, and an 8-megapixel snapper can be found up front. Android 5.1.1 Lollipop comes pre-installed here with OxygenOS available on top of it. The phone ships with a 2,525mAh battery, it measures 140 x 69 x 6.9mm, and it weighs 138 / 160 grams (Onyx & Ceramic variants).
