The Blackberry PRIV Wallpapers Are Available For Download

The Blackberry Priv will certainly turn a few heads when it gets spotted on the streets. This is Blackberry's first phone to use the Android operating system, so there are a lot of apps available to choose from and those who like the features of older Blackberry phones would be glad to know they can find them in the Priv. The design of the phone has some distinctive features like the screen that curves on the sides and the sliding physical keyboard, allowing the entire screen to remain visible while typing. The internals of the phone are also among the most powerful out there, as it includes the hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor and 3 GB of RAM. There's an 18-megapixel camera on the back features Schneider-Kreuznach optics, OIS, phase autofocus and it's complemented by a dual-tone LED flash.

The version of Android Lollipop running on the Priv looks pretty much like the stock version found on the Nexus devices, but Blackberry added some features to improve the experience. First of all, the company is making sure that the device is secure with the DTEK app, it features some shortcuts for the Blackberry Hub and the Blackberry Messenger app, which are accessible from the Home button just like Google Now. Some of those apps have been ported to install them in other Android devices and now, users can also download the stock wallpapers that are preinstalled on the Blackberry Priv.

There are 5 wallpapers available, all of them follow the Material Design guidelines and they are meant to complement the elegant looks of the Priv featuring cold tones in most cases. The main one, which can be seen in the promotional images of the phone features a texture on the lower left corner that looks like the back of the phone. The rest of them feature layers of a cardboard-like material in different shades of blues and some gray accents, most of them feature straight lines and only one features circular forms combined with straight lines. They are made with a resolution of 2880 x 2560, so they can take advantage of higher resolution displays. Check them in the gallery below and click on the source link to download them.

I've loved technology ever since I touched a computer and I got to experience the transition to mobile devices which was amazing! I got into Android with the Samsung Galaxy S2 and I currently own a Sony Xperia Z3 and a Nexus 7 because I really like the look of vanilla Android. My interests include movies, music, art and mathematics.
