T-Mobile Launches Family Match, and 4th Line Free

As part of T-Mobile's Uncarrier X event in Los Angeles, the magenta carrier has announced Family Match. This is part of the doubling of data caps, as that does also include family plans. So now instead of getting 3GB of data for each line on a four-line plan, you will get 6GB of data for each line for $140. But instead of the normal price of $140, it's going to be $120 because for a limited time because the fourth line is free. Additionally, T-Mobile is doing 4 lines of truly unlimited data (meaning unlimited 4G LTE data) for just $180. Which is the lowest price ever from T-Mobile for four lines of truly unlimited data.

This limited time promotion gives you the fourth line free, and T-Mobile's COO, Mike Sievert was upfront in saying that this was a limited promotion. So it starts this Sunday, November 15th, but we aren't sure when exactly it ends. We will definitely let everyone know when it does end, as soon as that information is available, of course. T-Mobile compares these prices to their competitors in their press release. With that being $20 more and T-Mobile offering 4x the data that Verizon would. And 5x what AT&T would offer and they'll charge you $30 more.

Additionally, these family plans will get the new BingeOn service, which allows you to stream video from a number of services for free, and it won't count against your data. T-Mobile did mention that this is for plans over 3GB of data, which is all family plans, and all individual plans aside from the intro plan that is $50/month for 2GB of data. Which is great for those that want to watch videos on their phone from ESPN, Sling TV, Hulu, Netflix and a number of other services with many more coming in the near future. Currently there are 24 services included in the BingeOn service announced today, which also goes live on Sunday, November 15th.

So a family plan with four lines for 24GB of total data (6GB of data for each line and no sharing) for just $120 for a limited time. That's a pretty impressive price for that amount of data, and pretty hard to pass up.
