Android is a significantly different platform than iOS or Windows (Phone), the beauty of Google’s mobile OS is customizability, it always has been. Android allows you to do so much in terms of customizability, which, in the end, results in a far more productive UI in some cases. Launchers are a bit part of that, there are a ton of launchers available in the Google Play Store, and each of them offers something different. You’ve probably heard of Nova, Apex, Action or Smart Launcher, these are only examples, of course, there are huge amounts of launchers available in Google’s store, and we’re here to take a look at one which is relatively new, One Launcher.
This app is developed by ‘In One Step’, and it’s basically a really, really light launcher for Android. By sheer looks of the UI, One Launcher definitely reminds us of iOS, and if you’re looking something like that, this might be just the thing for you. One Launcher is, as we’ve already mentioned, extremely light, it’s only 2MB big, which is tiny compared to the majority of other launchers currently available. One Launcher does offer some customizability though, not to the extent of Nova Launcher, for example, but you do get some options here. There are a number of themes available for you to choose from, while ‘Smart Widgets’ are also available here. If you don’t like the default screen transition effect, that’s not a problem whatsoever considering there are a number for you to choose from, ilke Rotate, Bulldoze, Scale, Flip, Fade, etc. In fact, One Launcher’s developer adds new screen transition effects constantly through weekly updates.
One Launcher comes pre-loaded with a number of HD Retina-ready wallpapers, and the launcher also brings some functionality to your lock screen as well. This launcher is definitely not for those of you who are used to traditional launchers, or are used to the extent of customizability other launchers offer. One Launcher is suited for those of you who are looking something really simple, and yet really light on your RAM and CPU. This app is free in the Google Play Store and it doesn’t have any ads attached to it, in case you were wondering. If you’d like to try it out, click the Google Play Store button down below.
