NVIDIA Throw A Living Room From A Plane & Offer Deal On SHIELD

The NVIDIA SHIELD is currently the most powerful Android TV device you can buy. It is one which offers an unparalleled level of gaming as well as the 'standard' Android TV experience. In fact, with the inclusion of a Tegra X1 processor and the emphasis on gaming, the SHIELD comes with a clear focus on being able to process graphics at a much greater level than anything else. This is not too surprising when you consider this is NVIDIA and this is also why a number of games are routinely released to the Play Store, which are only compatible with the SHIELD and its Tegra X1 processor.

Well, in showcasing their graphics prowess, NVIDIA have put together a short video designed to highlight the power of the SHIELD. The video is entitled 'Rule The Living Room From 10,000 Feet With NVIDIA SHIELD' and will instantly appeal to any adrenaline junkies out there. The crux of the video, NVIDIA decide to throw a full living room out of the back of a C-130 Hercules aircraft while in mid-flight. That is, a full living room which includes a TV connected up to a SHIELD along with Jeff Provenzano, professional skydiver and Red Bull Air Force Team member and a cat. But here is the kicker, NVIDIA want you to decide whether they really did throw a living room out of the back of an aircraft along with Jeff Provenzano and a cat or is this just an example of what you can do with an NVIDIA GPU? After all, it is the same NVIDIA GPU architecture in the SHIELD that is used to create many of the action scenes you will see coming out of Hollywood.

Those interested can check out the video by hitting play below and make your own decision as to whether the scene is real or not. To celebrate the feat and their #RuleTheLivingRoom challenge, NVIDIA is currently offering those interested in buying the SHIELD, a free SHIELD Remote. This is normally sold separately as an accessory item and does typically retail for $49.99. So this is a good opportunity to pick up the SHIELD, the SHIELD Controller and the SHIELD Remote all for $199.99.
