Nuance Brings Dragon Anywhere To Android At $15 A Month

Google's voice services may be the technology most often used with Android smartphone owners, but it is by no means the only technology or service available. Nuance communications is a company that has been working with voice-activated technology for quite some time, and now their impressive Dragon Anywhere software which was already available for PC and Mac is being brought to the Android platform (also available on iOS), for those who may have a need to speak things out rather than type them. Dragon Anywhere is a professional dictation software which utilizes the cloud to understand and insert anything you speak to it so that you can let the app do the work anytime you need to send a message, and email, or basically type up anything on your mobile device.

Dragon Anywhere is a software which can be extremely accurate so long as you're using the correct punctuation and formatting. This ensures that what you say comes out correctly as the app types things up. This means when you need to insert a comma, a period, or any other punctuation or even start a new paragraph, you'll need to speak those things along with the actual words you want in the context. The video below gives a good example of this working in action.

Nuance is offering this service with a 1-week free trial to anyone who is interested in testing it out, but after the trial period is up there is a cost associated with it. You can pay by the month which will set you back $15 every 30 days, or you can choose one of the various multi-month packages that Nuance offers for a bit more. Like most services which offer more than one month of a subscription lumped together, the fees for Dragon Anywhere will end up being a little bit cheaper. Dragon Anywhere provides rather fast dictation, and during the trial you get unlimited use of it so you can have it type things up for you as much as you like. It also supports custom word inputs, as well as auto text and other features, and the more you use it the smarter and more accurate it gets.
