NewsON Brings Free Local News To Your Android Devices

No matter where you live, there is always something likely to be going on nearby and that is exactly what the news is all about. While international and national news are all well and good and will keep you informed of what is happening on a more global and national scale, sometimes you just need to keep up with what is going on more locally. Thankfully, in the U.S. there are a ton of local news stations to make use of.

Well, if you are someone who likes to keep up-to-date with everything that is going on in your local area and also while you are on the move, then it is worth checking out the new NewsON app. The app has gone live on the Play Store in the last couple of days and is designed to bring you all the local happenings for your area by offering access to more than 100 local news stations. Not to mention, as well as live news broadcasts, the app allows you to watch past broadcasts (from the last 48 hours) to make sure you are up-to-date with everything that has been happening. It even has the ability to set up an alert so that you can be informed of any breaking news in your local vicinity.

The best feature of all, is that the app is free to download and does not require a log-in to use. Once downloaded, simply open the app and start selecting which news broadcast you want to watch. Although, it does need to be pointing out that this is a U.S. only app and as such will not work elsewhere. It is also worth noting that not everywhere might be covered in the U.S., although the company do claim to have most of the U.S. covered. It is lastly worth mentioning that the app does also support Chromecast, so if you are someone who has 'cut the cord' then you will still be able to make use of local news sources directly on your big screen.
