Elephone has released a couple of interesting devices this year, including the P7000, P8000 and M2 devices. The company has also announced a number of additional models which will be released before the end of this year, including the high-end Vowney smartphone, and the Android Wear-powered ELE Watch. Elephone also plans to announce three devices as part of their P9000 lineup, the highest-one of which will sport no bezel on the sides, you can check its images by clicking here.
That being said, we've talked about Elephone's subsidiary brand, ECOO, quite recently. A report came our way, saying that the upcoming ECOO E06 smartphone will be the first MediaTek P10-powered smartphone out there. On top of that, this smartphone will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. Well, Elephone has just posted a video clip on their official YouTube account. In this short video, you'll get to see the ECOO E06 in the flesh, and a part of its software as well.
The ECOO E06 will be a mid-range smartphone it seems. The device will sport a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display, and will also ship with a Type-C port on the bottom. As you can see in this video, the phone will offer a capacitive home button below the display, and also three on-screen buttons, which seems a bit odd. Anyhow, the video does show Android 5.1 Lollipop is pre-installed on it, but a source from the company has confirmed that the phone will ship with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and you can also find such info in the description of this video. The phone showcased in this clip obviously doesn't have a final version of the software.
That is pretty much it. We don't know much about ECOO E06, but it seems like the device will be rather narrow, even though it will sport some black bars on the sides. The phone will ship with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage on board, as this video reveals. Anyhow, if anything else pops up, we'll let you know, but you can expect this smartphone to be released rather soon.
