Chromebooks have become a massively popular choice for laptops. This year and last has proven that Chromebook can be a formidable machine for computing even with many of the features being primarily web-based/cloud-based, as many features are available for use in offline mode. Acer is easily the manufacturer with the most Chromebooks available out there and their Chromebook 13 model powered by the NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor is a great little machine for anyone wanting a really good experience for relatively little money.
It has a 13.3-inch display and in addition to the Tegra K1 quad-core processor, it has NVIDIA Kepler GPU with 192 CUDA cores for graphics. It comes with 2GB of DDR3L SDRAM and 16GB of storage on a solid state drive so reading and writing files is extremely quick, and it also comes with additional free storage in the cloud via Google Drive. As this is a Chromebook it runs Chrome OS, with web apps like Hangouts, Docs, Sheets, Drive, Chrome, and others all available. This particular model is great for long sessions of use too as it sports up to a 13-hour battery life so it’s perfect for work or school. It also has an integrated HD webcam for use with video chat, and it’s fairly lightweight coming in at only 3.3 lbs making it easily portable for travel.
