Cricket Discounting A Number Of Android Devices Until 2016

Cricket Wireless has much to offer customers. The business is wholly owned by AT&T and as such, offers customers access to the national 4G LTE AT&T network, which provides coverage for a substantial number of Americans. Cricket's prepay, contract-less plans start at $40 a month less a $5 auto top-up discount and they offer a number of Android smartphones for customers wishing to join the network. Today, Cricket has announced a number of discounts for customers joining Cricket from most other North American carriers and bringing their number with them. The discounts stretch up to $100 after a mail-in rebate and the offers are running until the 7 January 2016. These offers are available either online or at any of Cricket's 3,800 wireless stores.

The biggest discount available is for the mid-range phablet device, LG G Stylo, where the price drops to $49.99 after after a $50 discount at checkout and a further mail-in rebate of $50 via a Cricket Visa Promotion Card. The Stylo features a 720p resolution, 5.7-inch display and a 1.2 GHz, quad core processor running the LG user interface over Android 5.0 Lollipop. The next biggest discount is a total of $70 for the Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime, where the price drops to $29.99 after a $20 checkout discount and a $50 mail-in rebate. The Galaxy Grand Prime is a smaller device, being based around a qHD 5.0-inch display (that being 540 by 960 pixels) and a 1.2 GHz quad core processor. Cricket have also made three devices free, the ZTE Overture, LG Risio and Motorola Moto E, where the mail-in rebates equate to $40, $30 and $50 respectively and match the cost of the device.

Cricket's press release also explains how the whole family can save money by adding eligible lines to an account and saving up to $100 a month using the Cricket Group Save discount, where up to five lines may be applied. Janna Ducich, Cricket's Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, said this on the subject: "With extreme discounts on our most popular smartphones, Cricket is providing holiday shoppers with the tech they crave at affordable prices. Our service plans with taxes and fees already included and our 4G LTE nationwide network make it easy to bring joy to friends and loved ones at this special time of year."
