Wileyfox Storm Sells Out At Clove; Fresh Stocks Expected Soon

The much talked-about Wileyfox Storm is now all sold out at Clove UK, according to latest reports. The smartphone went on sale earlier at the British retailer for £199.99. The company however, has announced that it expects fresh stocks to be available soon, which will start shipping out to customers November 2nd onwards. Amazon UK meanwhile, will start offering the smartphone from the 28th of this month at a price of £198.99 - that's exactly a quid less than the asking price for the device at Clove. The smartphone was the subject of a lot of online speculations before it was officially unveiled to the media back in late August as an affordable mid-ranger, along with an even more pocket-friendly smartphone called the Wileyfox Swift. Both devices promise enhanced security features, and are amongst the very few smartphones in the market today to come with Cyanogen OS.

As for the hardware specs of the Wileyfox Storm, the device features a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It's powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 615 (MSM8939) SoC, which comes with a 64-bit octa-core CPU clocked at a maximum frequency of 1.5 GHz, along with an Adreno 405 GPU. The handset comes with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage, which is expandable by up to 128 GB with a microSD card. The device comes with Cyanogen OS 12.1, which is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop, and has dual SIM support. The second SIM slot however, is a hybrid one, meaning you can either use the second SIM card or the microSD card, but not both at the same time.

Coming to the imaging options on the device, the rear-facing primary camera on the Wileyfox Storm is a 20-megapixel IMX220 sensor from Sony, and comes with an LED flash, whereas the front-facing selfie-cam on the device is an 8-megapixel unit, which also comes with an LED flash for better-lit selfies. As for connectivity options, the phone supports 4G LTE and 3G HSPA+ cellular connectivity, along with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The device comes with a 2,500 mAh battery and measures 155.6 mm in length, 77.3 mm in width and 9.2 mm in thickness. The Wileyfox Storm weighs about 155 grams.
