Wileyfox Storm Now Available In The UK For £199

If you never heard the name Wileyfox, that's ok, since they are a new phone maker based in the UK and founded this year. Back in late August, the company unveiled their first set of products, the low-cost Wileyfox Storm and Wileyfox Swift, both powered by Cyanogen OS. After waiting a couple of months, users are finally able to put their hands on the Wileyfox Storm, the most powerful phone of their lineup. Earlier this week the phone went on sale at Clove UK, but quickly ran out of stock on Monday. Fortunately, the company has just provided a fresh stock of the phone and you can get it right from the Wileyfox's website. Additionally, Argos, Amazon UK, Expansys and Ebuyer are also selling the Storm as well for £199.

The device has some pretty good specs, sporting a 5.5-inch screen with a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080, resulting in a great pixel density of 400 pixels per inch (ppi). It is powered by the octa-core Snapdragon 615 SoC and the Adreno 430 GPU, coupled with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. There's also support for microSD cards for expandable storage of up to 32 GB. There's a 2500 mAh non-removable battery. The main camera has impressive 20 megapixels, and the front-facing shooter has 8 MP with an LED flash. As mentioned before, it runs on Cyanogen OS 12.1, based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. It is worth mentioning that the phone has Dual SIM functionality and is available only in black for the moment.

The Storm offers a good run for the money and directly competes with Motorola and their Moto G. Although the price is slightly higher than the most powerful version of the Moto G 2015 (16 GB of storage and 2 GB of RAM), this phone offers more RAM, a better camera and a more powerful processor. Additionally, the company also sells the Swift, featuring a 5-inch display with an HD resolution, the Snapdragon 415 processor, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage with microSD card support of up to 32 GB, Dual SIM, 4G LTE and a 13-megapixel rear camera. The Swift costs only £129 and can be bought from Amazon UK. The company also offers an interesting service that replaces your broken screen for only £9.99 per year.
