Oukitel K6000 Pre-Orders Start Today, 6,000mAh Battery In Tow

Oukitel K6000 1

Oukitel is one of many China-based smartphone OEMs which many people haven’t heard about, yet. This company has introduced a couple of really interesting devices thus far, like the Oukitel U10 handset for example which brings compelling specs and build quality to the table, and it’s really affordable. The company is also working on a 10,000mAh device which is expected to be launched in the coming weeks. That being said, Oukitel has been teasing the arrival of their big battery K6000 handset for quite some time now, and the device is now official with all the availability details revealed, read on.

Now, the Oukitel K6000 isn’t exactly a high-end device, but it is interesting for a couple of reasons. First and foremost, it ships with a huge 6,000mAh battery on the inside. Moreover, that is a safer li-polymer battery which offers rapid charging (9V/2A) out of the box. The device features a 5.5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) 2.5D curved display along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of native storage (expandable up to 32GB via microSD card). The device is powered by MediaTek’s MT6735P 64-bit quad-core SoC running at 1.0GHz along with a Mali-T720 GPU for graphics. The 13-megapixel camera is located on the back of this device, and a 5-megapixel shooter can be found up front. Android 5.1 Lollipop comes out of the box here, and Oukitel’s Android skin is pretty light, they only add some gestures and apps on there.

Let’s talk more about that battery, shall we. If you charge the battery for only 5 minutes, you’ll get enough battery life to talk for two hours (2G), which is quite impressive. The company also says that this phone can go on up to 40 days on a charge (standby time), and also lasts quite a while with normal use. The device is available for pre-order starting today for $139.99. If you’d like to get more info, check out the source down below.
