The Google Play Store has now started offering accessories for the Nexus 6P, by the looks of it. Specifically speaking, there’s a folio case on offer in two different colors – Carbon (black) and Amber (brown). The case, made by accessory maker Adopted, is made out of leather and costs $49.99 for either option, and is said to ship within 1 – 2 days, according to the listing page on the Play Store. While accessories for Google’s latest flagship have already been available through various channels, a lot of them seem to be missing or hindering key functionalities, according to reports. Seeing as this one is being made available through official channels, one would be expecting this one to maybe not come with the same issues as some of the other accessories on offer thus far.
The Nexus 6P of course, is the current generation flagship smartphone from Google, and was launched by the Mountain View, California-based tech company back in late September, at a conference held in San Francisco, California. However, unlike previous years, this time around, Google launched not one, but two smartphones, and while the 6P is the flagship with premium hardware, the other device from Google is a mid-range one, called the Nexus 5X. While the Nexus 6P is made by Chinese telecom equipment and electronics company, Huawei, the 5X is manufactured by South Korean consumer electronics company LG. While the Nexus 5X pricing starts at $379 in the US for the 16 GB version, the Nexus 6P comes with a price-tag of $499 in the US for the base 32 GB version, while the 64 GB and the 128 GB versions are priced at $549 and $649 respectively.
Coming to the hardware specs of the Nexus 6P, the Huawei-made device features a 5.7-inch WQHD (2560 x 1440) display and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 SoC. The smartphone comes with 3 GB of RAM, and is offered in three different storage configurations of 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB, as mentioned already. The device also sports the ‘Nexus Imprint‘ fingerprint reader, and features a 13-megapixel primary camera with a Laser Detect Autofocus and a dual-LED, dual tone flash. The Nexus 6P comes with a 3,450 mAh battery and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.
