Meizu M2 Sold Out On Snapdeal, Second Batch Incoming

October 13, 2015 - Written By Kristijan Lucic

Meizu is one of the fastest growing smartphone OEMs in the world. This China-based company has released a couple of really compelling smartphones this year, and the latest one to arrive is the Meizu PRO 5, the company’s newest flagship. That being said, Meizu will announce a new device quite soon, quite probably a new variant of the Meizu M2 Note or perhaps even the M3 Note. Speaking of which, the M2 Note has been selling really well in India, and the M2 is not far behind it seems. This company has been active in India for a while now, they’ve reached India back in May this year when the M1 Note was launched over there as the company’s first-ever device to reach that Asian country.

The M2 Note has reached India back in August, and the M2 has landed quite recently actually, only four days ago. Well, it seems like Meizu was able to sell out the first batch of this device in India really fast. The device was available on Snapdeal and it sold out in no time, though the company still didn’t provide any exact sales numbers. For those of you who are interested in getting this device and were unable to do it this time around, keep in mind that the second round of registration on Snapdeal begins today. We still don’t know how many devices will Meizu and Snapdeal offer this time around either, but if you’re interested, stay tuned to the retailer.

The Meizu M2 is an entry-level handset from this China-based smartphone OEM. This smartphone sports a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) IPS LCD display, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable internal storage. This phone is powered by MediaTek’s MT6735 64-bit quad-core SoC clocked at 1.3GHz along with a Mali-T720 MP2 GPU. The 13-megapixel camera is located on the back of this phone, and a 5-megapixel snapper can be found up front. The non-removable 2,500mAh battery is also a part of this package, and you’ll also find a physical home button below this phone’s display. There are two SIM card slots available here, and Android 5.1 Lollipop comes pre-installed here with the company’s Flyme UI available on top of Google’s OS. The Meizu M2 measures 140.1 x 68.9 x 8.7mm, and it weighs 131 grams.
