Typically speaking, a number of Google updates usually come through each week. Again, typically speaking, these more often than not come through on a Wednesday and some were noted coming through yesterday including updates to Google Photos, Google Keep and the Google Play Games app, which brought with it a very interesting addition in the form of the ability to record your gameplay on your mobile device.
Well, it may be Thursday now but that does not mean that the Google updates news has come to an end for this week. As well as the already noted updates, updates are also becoming available now for Slides, Sheets and Docs. Due to the nature of these apps and some of their overlapping purposes, these apps are often updated together and this update is not any different.
In terms of the changes, there is nothing too major here, although, there are a number of smaller changes which will be useful to some. In terms of sheets the updated features include the ability to view filters on the mobile version of Sheets that were added while using the desktop (or Web) version of Sheets. In Addition, Sheets now offers the option to make use of ‘Paste special’, which will allow you to paste specific values. Last but not least, both the toolbars and zooming have seen additional abilities added. Moving to Slides and Docs and it seems the added features are slightly smaller and applicable to both apps with the ability to now able to edit and/or insert hyperlinks.
As per usual with these types of updates, they are beginning to roll out but will do so slowly and reach different devices at different times. So you may have already seen the update arrive for your device or you may not see it land for a few days yet. Either way, if you would prefer not to wait and would rather be running the latest versions of any or all three of the Google office apps, then you can by downloading via the links below and sideloading in the usual manner.
