Canada'a Nexus 6P Shipping on October 27

Thanks to a tweet by H [email protected], it appears that if you ordered your Huawei Nexus 6P in Canada, they will be shipping out on October 27!  This is great news for all of the Nexus diehards in Canada that just cannot wait to get their new device in hand to put it through its paces.  Our thorough first hand review showed it to be a great device and it scored high marks all around.  Make sure you let us know when you receive your device so we can let others know.  This user got the 64GB model for $846.37 complete with tax and free shipping.

The new Nexus 6P, by Huawei, is the high-end model on the Nexus scale this year, while the LG made Nexus 5X would be considered a mid-range device.  The Nexus 6P comes with a large 5.7-inch AMOLED QHD display made by Samsung, with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and 518 pixels-per-inch (PPI).  Huawei devices generally use their homegrown HiSilicon Kirin processors, but for their first Nexus device they chose the 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 v2.1 octa-core processor with four cores clocked at 1.55 GHZ and four cores clocked at 2.0 GHz and an Adreno 430 GPU.  You can order a 32GB, 64GB or 128GB model - there is no room for expansion, and all variants pack 3GB of RAM.

The 12.3 MP main camera sensor, by Sony, with laser autofocus and dual-tone LED flash scored very well in our testing, although it is missing Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).  It uses a large, 1.55µm pixel size and the software features offer touch focus, face detection, HDR and panorama shots.  The front-facing camera (FFC) is a large 8 MP sensor and provides excellent selfies and video chatting.  The Nexus 6P also has dual, front-facing stereo speakers that produce excellent sound during our test.  A large non-removable 3450 mAh battery that can quickly be charged via its reversible Type-C microUSB port provides power for the device.  It also sports a fingerprint sensor for unlocking the device, authorizing mobile payments via Android Pay and offering more security than merely punching in a code.

If you ordered the new Nexus 6P, you have a lot to look forward to...hopefully, yours will be on its way October 27.
