With Android 6.0 Marshmallow (pictured above) Google gave users even more information about which apps and what usage is draining that precious battery. Of course, there’s always room for improvement and part of what Android is all about is offering alternatives to what’s already there, and so it is that the Play Store is full of apps that offer up different stats or claim to save you battery. Not all of these apps are equal, and as there were some serious changes in Android 5.0 Lollipop where battery stats were concerned, some of them have died off. One which is well worth your money, and has stood the test of time is BetterBatteryStats.
In the newly released version, 2.1, BetterBatteryStats gets updated with support for Android 6.0 Marshmallow. This means that those lucky Nexus owners out there obsessing over their battery life can do so with even more information, which may or may not cause them to spend more time checking their devices, draining their battery further. Your mileage may vary. Support for Marshmallow isn’t the only thing though, as new artwork is listed alongside some tweaks to how the app behaves on Android 5.1 as well as bug fixes for widgets and even some specific fixes for LG G3 owners to boot.
BetterBatteryStats has been around for a long, long time now and it only keeps on getting better and better. For those that really need to take a long hard look at what their smartphone is doing with their battery life, BetterBatterStats is just one such app to try out, but it’s certainly one of the better ones out there. Sure, it’s not a free app, but then again if you want quality, you’re going to end up paying for it. We’re willing to bet the majority of you would want to do that up front, rather than through ads or in-app purchases. if you haven’t tried out the app and would want to, you can hit the button below and check it out for yourself.
