As of now, the production of the first batch of the device is ongoing and will be shipped out for sale on the 20th of October. The company is currently taking pre-orders for the device. It has also claimed to have cleared out unnecessary bloatware from its upcoming device and that includes some of Google's bloat too. Apparently, this is done to ensure that the interface experience for the customer will be smoother and enjoyable. The company is planning to develop an Android 5.0(Lollipop) update after the Pulse is launched.
