Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Is Now Available In 5 Color Options

Earlier this month, Xiaomi has announced their newest smartphone, the Redmi Note 2 along with the new version of the company's Android skin, MIUI 7. The Redmi Note 2 has been leaking for months now, and Xiaomi has finally decided to take the wraps off of this handset. The Redmi Note 2 is currently available only in China, well, available from time to time via flash sales. The company has announced a range of colors during the launch event, but not all of them were available, in fact, only one was.

We have some good news for those of you who live in China and have been looking to buy the Redmi Note 2, additional 4 colors are now available, but only on China Mobile (carrier). The Redmi Note 2 will be available in White, Dark Gray, Blue, Pink and Yellow color options from China Mobile. The device is priced at 799 Yuan ($125) at China Mobile, and keep in mind we're talking about Redmi Note 2 here (MT6795 + 16GB of internal storage), not Redmi Note 2 Prime (MT6795T + 32GB of in-built storage). The phone is priced at 899 Yuan elsewhere, and is available only in White color, in case you were wondering. For those of you who live outside of China and are looking to purchase this thing, well, you can do it via a number of resellers, but the phone will cost more.

The Redmi Note 2 sports 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) IPS LCD display, along with 2GB of RAM and 16 or 32GB of internal storage. The phone is powered by MediaTek's Helio X10 (MT6795 / MT6795T) 64-bit octa-core SoC, and it's actually available in two variants in China, as mentioned above. The only differences between the Redmi Note 2 and Redmi Note 2 Prime are the internal storage, and slightly higher clock speed (2.0GHz compared to 2.2GHz). The 13-megapixel camera is available on the back of this handset (PDAF available), and a 5-megapixel snapper can be found up front. The Redmi Note 2 offers 4G LTE connectivity, and a 3,060mAh battery is also a part of this package. This is a dual SIM handset which measures 152 x 76 x 8.3mm, while it weighs 160 grams.
