UMi's $99 4G LTE Handset Will Launch On September 25th

UMi is one of the many Chinese companies which are manufacturing smartphones. We've reviewed a couple of UMi-branded devices this year, including the company's eMax and Iron smartphones, in addition to their Voix Blu Bluetooth headphones. The company is constantly teasing their upcoming smartphones, and we're expecting several of them to launch in the coming weeks. One of those smartphones is UMi Fair, a handset we've already talked about in previous articles. After a number of teasers, the company has finally revealed when will this device going to be released, read on.

The company has announced that the UMi Fair will be unveiled on September 25th. The company has already released two teasers when it comes to this device, and you can check both of them in the gallery down below. The UMi Fair smartphones will feature a fingerprint scanner on its back, and will cost only $99. We also know the majority of this device's specifications, read on if you're interested. The UMi Fair will sport a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) display, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. The device will be fueled by MediaTek's MT6735 64-bit quad-core processor, and a 2,250mAh battery will be included on the inside. The device will be made out of metal, and you can also expect it to offer 4G LTE connectivity, which is not many smartphones do for less than a $100. The 8-megapixel snapper (Sony's sensor) will be located on the back of this smartphone, and a 2-megapixel camera will be available up front.

We didn't' exactly see a real life image of this smartphone just yet, but you can check out two incomplete renders of this smartphone if you take a look at the gallery down below. As you can see, the device will also sport dual-LED flash on the back, and rather thin bezels. Both the power / lock and volume rocker buttons will be placed on the right-hand side of this smartphone, and it seems like a 2.5D curved glass is also included on top of the device's display.
