To-Do list apps can be quite useful for anyone who prefers to have a series of lists to help remind them to get things done. They can help boost productivity and some of the apps available are quite robust with loads of features and stylish UI design. Habit Tracker is not a to-do list, but rather an app aimed at helping users track their to-do’s and their goals for a different approach to getting things done and staying on task. There’s no better way to ensure you routinely do things you’re supposed to then to make those things a habit, and Habit Tacker’s goal is to help you form habits for your own goals.
You can start by setting up a habit or by grabbing one from a pre-selected list already in the app, and Habit Tracker will then remind you with alerts to get those things done. The more you remember to do them gives you a better chance that you’ll be starting a habit forming routine with that particular goal or task, and eventually complete it all the time. The app will alert you to complete the habits you create, but you’ll need to mark them as done so the app knows you’ve finished them. You have the option to skip created habits too, but that isn’t really the idea of the app in the first place. However, it’s still nice to see that the development team is giving users this particular type of control.
When creating habits you have a long list of options to make things personalized, like the frequency of the habit, a label so you can categorize them, and the number of times you need to repeat the habit in the allotted frequency time you set. There are also options for enabling and disabling reminders, start and accomplish dates, and you can even attach notes to each habit if you need to. You can view each habit from the main list or you can get more granular details about them by tapping on a particular habit which also lets you view a chart showing when you were on time with your habits and when you were late. For those that value efficiency, Habit Tracker even has a handful of widget options so you can place the habits on your homescreen. To top things off, Habit Tracker has an elegant material design style UI, so it’s modern and up to date according to Google’s design guidelines. The app is free, but there is also a paid version that is ad-free and unlocks some more features.
