Samsung has announced quite a few smartphones this year, as it’s usually the case with this Korea-based smartphone OEM. The Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, Note 5 and S6 Edge Plus definitely got the most publicity, but there are a number of other devices Samsung introduced that are not exactly high-end. The handset we’ll talk about here definitely fits into that category. The smartphone in question is the Galaxy J2, and entry-level phone which surfaced on GFXBench at the end of July ,and was certified by FCC quite recently.
That being said, Samsung has just launched this smartphone in India. The Galaxy J2 features a 4.7-inch 960 x 540 Super AMOLED display along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage (expandable up to 128GB via microSD card). The smartphone is fueled by the company’s Exynos 3475 quad-core SoC running at 1.3GHz, and a 2,000mAh battery is also a part of this package. The 5-megapixel rear-facing camera (f/2.2 aperture) is flanked by the LED flash, and a 2-megapixel shooter is available on the front side of this phone (f/2.4 aperture). This is a dual-SIM handset, and 4G LTE connectivity is also a part of the package. Android 5.1 Lollipop comes pre-installed on the Galaxy J2 with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI available on top of it.
