Google held its official event yesterday to announce a collection of new products like the two new Nexus phones, but Google also unveiled the all new Chromecast which comes with a handful of improvements including a brand new design. Those who own an original Chromecast should be no stranger to the types of deals which are usually associated with them, as Google often gives owners and buyers of the little streaming dongle free movies or Google Play credit to spend on movies or other things from the Play Store. Sometimes these deals are specific to the U.S., leaving out those who reside over seas, but luckily for UK citizens a company called Wuaki.tv is offering a deal right now to anyone in the country who picks up a new Chromecast.
The deal is specifically for those who live in the UK so it locks out anyone outside the country unfortunately. If you buy a new Chromecast from Wuaki.tv, the company will give you a free copy of the movie San Andreas to stream to your TV along with all of the other content that is already available like Hulu, Netflix, and more. While this is a great deal as free gifts and such when you purchase things you were already considering are always nice, there are a few caveats. As stated this seems to be a UK only deal, so clicking the source link to navigate to the Wuaki.tv page where the deal is likely won't work if you aren't in the UK. Second this deal only lasts through the end of day today, so you'll have a handful of hours to grab it if you're interested.
Lastly, to sign up for the deal UK residents will need to register the purchase and wait a period of 7-15 business days before the free film is received, so it'll take some time before you actually get to watch it. To purchase a Chromecast through Wuaki.tv it'll set UK buyers back £29.99 including shipping, and presumably you'll be able to pick up the device in any of the three colors Google announced at yesterday's event. While this is a great deal, it also won't be the last one, and chances are Google themselves will have something for UK buyers sometime in the near future.
