Moto X Pure Edition Arrives for Sale at Best Buy

The new Motorola Moto X Pure Edition has been up for pre-order since the first of September and today Best Buy has the White, Black and Bamboo editions with 16GB or 32GB models, on sale now.  Prices start at $399.99 for the 16GB model in Black and the 16GB Bamboo model running $424.99.  The 32GB Black or White version will cost you $449.99 and the Bamboo model is $474.99.  Best Buy shows no prices for the 64GB model, but for the small increase in price, it would be worth it to grab the 32GB model - remember there is a microSD card slot to expand the base memory.  The Moto X Pure Edition, or Moto X 2015, is sold by Motorola as an unlocked device and the one model will work on all major US carriers, so should you decide to switch carriers,  you can take your Moto X with you...they call it carrier freedom.

Remember that the Moto X Pure Edition is not the same as the new mid-range Moto X Play - the Moto X Pure Edition is Motorola's flagship model and offers a great smartphone at an equally great price.  About the only glaring omission is the lack of a fingerprint scanner to work with mobile payments and in particular, Android's new Marshmallow that will be coming out later this year that will support your will be baked right in the new OS.  It is built with a solid metal frame and the curved back making it more comfortable to hold and you can use Moto Maker to customize the design to your liking.

The Moto X has a large 5.7-inch QHD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and 520 pixels-per-inch.  It comes with a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 hexa-core processor with four-cores running at 1.44GHz and two cores running at 1.8GHz.  Motorola worked with Qualcomm to optimize the processor for the Moto X to insure a great user experience that is both fast and smooth.  It packs 3GB of RAM and offers a 16GB, 32GB or 64GB model and each can expand that via a microSD Card.  The new 21MP main camera sensor has phase detection autofocus, an f/2.0 aperture, and a dual-tone LED flash, with no OIS.  The large 5MP front-facing camera with a wide-angle lens will offer great selfies and video chatting.  A large non-removable 3000mAh battery powers the Moto X Pure Edition and will certainly last you a full day of usage and can use the Motorola Turbo Charger for quick charges.
