Traveling can be great when it’s on personal time, and even when it’s for business purposes it can still end up being enjoyable. That doesn’t mean it won’t be without its challenges. For example, keeping track of your travel expenses (like hotel costs)can be a little bit difficult if you don’t have a system in place for jotting everything down. The good news is that there’s multiple ways for you to keep track of your travel expenses easily and quickly right on your smartphone, which is something you’re going to have on your person when you travel anyway. With TrabeePocket you have a number of options and features at your disposal for keeping track of your expenses right from your mobile device.
The app offers a number of useful features, not the least of which is being able to separate out all of your travel expenses into different travel periods if not all of them are for one specific trip. You can do this by adding your travel using the “+” symbol int the top right corner. The app takes on a slight material design inspired UI so everything looks nice and is easy to navigate, and the slide out hamburger menu is where you’ll find all your options and different features. From here you can see your travel list, your category settings, home country settings, a pro upgrade option which costs $1.99 and brings in added functionality like multiple currency support, and a section for providing feedback.
Once you have a travel category set up, you can see all of your expenses entered by date or by “all” and with a little description of what the purchases were, and down at the bottom of the screen you have two bars, one displaying your balance and the other displaying your total spending. You can name the item types so you know what things were and to keep organized, and at the end you can even access a pie chart separating out all of your expenses by category if you’re more of a visual person. If you go pro, you can also export all of the expense reports to wither CSV or XLS files if you need.
