Huawei finally gave us some information on when we can buy their beautiful smartwatch that is running on Android Wear. And that is today. Well actually you can pre-order yours today, and it’ll be delivered on September 17th. You can pre-order it now from Amazon, Best Buy, Google’s Store or Huawei’s website. Currently it’s only available at Amazon for pre-order but we will update this post when it launches on Best Buy, Google and Huawei’s sites.
Here with the Huawei Watch, we are looking at prices starting at $349 and going up to $799 depending on the model you get. As we covered in our post earlier today. The Huawei Watch also has a 1.4-inch full circle display, which uses an AMOLED panel with a resolution of 400×400, giving it a PPI of about 286. Additionally, it sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of storage. Specs here are about what we’d expect for an Android Wear smartwatch, as most of them have the same processor, as well as same amount of RAM and storage. Aside from the Moto 360 who went with a TI OMAP processor for some reason.
Huawei has a few different bands available for their watch, but it does use a 18mm band, which means that you can pick up a standard watch band and use it on your new Huawei Watch. So if you don’t like their black leather, steel links or alligator bands, well you can grab one that you want and replace it very, very easily. One of the good things about all of these Android Wear watches.
The Huawei Watch is a great looking smartwatch, and one we’d love to get our hands on. Actually we will be getting our hands on it as soon as Huawei’s press conference is over with. So you’ll want to stay tuned to Android Headlines for that. The Huawei Watch is compatible with both iOS and Android, as Google made the iOS version official earlier this week. It’ll work with Android 4.3 as well as iOS 8.2 and higher. You can pre-order yours at the link below, on Amazon. With Best Buy, Google Store and GetHuawei.com coming soon!
