Big Battery Homtom HT5 And HT6 Devices Launching Soon

You've probably already heard of Doogee, a China-based smartphone manufacturer which has released a number of interesting devices in the last year or so. Well, we've talked about Doogee Homtom HT6 back in July, a device which will sport a 6,250mAH battery. Today we received some additional info about this device, but it seems like Homtom will be a separate brand, even though this is still the same company (Doogee). We did not expect this, at all, but there you have it. Anyhow, let's see what's new, shall we.

According to the info we've received, Homtom will release two new smartphones soon, the HT5 and the HT6 we've already talked about. The company's Marketing Executive reached out to us and confirmed that both HT5 and HT6 handsets will be available for pre-order starting September 24th, and they'll be available for open purchase in October. The Homtom HT6 will sport a 6,250mAh battery, while the HT5 will ship with a 4,250mAh unit on the inside. The company has also released some additional info when it comes to the HT6.

The Homtom HT6 will be able to last for 7 days on average use according to the company, 3 days of heavy use, and up to 72 hours of talk time. The company also claims that if a battery hits 5%, the device will be able to stay charged for another 65 hours on standby before it dies on you. The phone will also support MediaTek's Pump Express (75% in 30 minutes) fast charging tech, and the device will be powered by the MediaTek MT6753 64-bit octa-core SoC. The device will sport a 5.5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) display along with 16GB of internal storage, but we still don't know how much RAM will be included here. The 13-megapixel shooter will be located on the back of HT6, and a 5-megapixel snapper will be available up front. The device will be only 9.9mm thick, and Android 5.1 Lollipop will come pre-installed here.

The company's Marketing Executive also revealed that the company's slogan is ''More power, lasting longer.'' That's more or less it, we'll have all the necessary details when the devices become available for pre-order on September 24th, and if any additional info surfaces in the meantime, we'll let you know.
