Sprint Sends Small Update to G4 Owners

Sprint has not always been known for their speedy updates, but they're usually fairly quick when it comes to keeping things up-to-date. For G4 owners, Sprint has a small update in store for you, bringing the software version up to LS991ZV6. For more info, head on over to Sprint's site here.

Sony Brings Android 5.1 to Xperia Z1 Line

This time last week, we reported that Sony had bought Android 5.1 to the Xperia Z line of original glass monoliths. Well, this week they're doing the same for the Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia Z1 and Xperia Z1 Compact. Each model and variant of each phone should end up with 14.6.A.0.368 as their new software version, bringing them up to date with every other Xperia Z device running Android 5.1.1.

Original Moto X FINALLY Gets Lollipop on Verizon

You know what took a surprisingly long time? Motorola to update the original Moto X to Lollipop. Verizon, of course it has to be Verizon, is last to the party with this update which finally brings said version of Android to the original Moto X. The update comes in two parts, a smaller one that prepares things, and then the main event. After all is said and done, you should end up with Android 5.1 running on your Moto X and software version 222.21.39. Disgruntled Verizon users can look here for more info.
