Samsung Created Experience Apps For Their New Phones

It's no surprise that Samsung excels when it comes to marketing their products, some commercials have bashed products from other companies while others have included some cheesy puns. Still, the company's campaigns have proven to be successful as they've managed to sell millions of devices. Another move to promote their products has been to release some apps on Android phones and tablets to showcase some of the most relevant features of their products and recently they launched the Experience apps for the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge+, which were announced last week.

Both apps are available at the Google Play Store for devices that use Android 4.1 or a more recent version, it will work better on HD displays and 1 GB of RAM is recommended. Both feature icons with the default wallpaper for each one while the icon of the Galaxy S6 Edge+ app was designed to look like it was curved like the display of that phone. Basically, they offer interactive demos of some aspects like hardware with 360° views and their color options, key features about the software experience and even some accessories.

The Galaxy S6 Edge+ Experience focuses on how it was designed to be ergonomic and to look good and the new aspects of its software like the People Edge and Apps Edge, swipe to wake and some customizations of the curved part of the display. As it is marketed as an entertainment device, they also highlight the 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display which curves to provide an immersive experience, as well as the camera and the live broadcast feature. Fast charging with the wired or wireless charger can also be seen on the demo and finally, the accessory catalog is also included. The Galaxy Note 5 Experience makes emphases on how it was designed to be used with one hand despite the large size of its display. Regarding the S-Pen functionality, the new Air Command interface is mentioned, scroll capture and the ability to take notes with the screen off also make an appearance. The fast charging, aspects of the display and the accessory catalog are also part of this app.

I've loved technology ever since I touched a computer and I got to experience the transition to mobile devices which was amazing! I got into Android with the Samsung Galaxy S2 and I currently own a Sony Xperia Z3 and a Nexus 7 because I really like the look of vanilla Android. My interests include movies, music, art and mathematics.
