Most of you have probably heard of Panasonic, a quite well-known Japan-based company. Panasonic is a lot of things, but they're definitely not one of the biggest smartphone OEMs out there. The company is, however, trying to make a name for themselves in India, they constantly release devices in that Asian country. They've recently unveiled the Eluga Icon, and unfortunately for the company, sales are not going as well as they should. Either way, Panasonic keeps on announcing new smartphones, like the Panasonic Eluga Switch they've showcased today, read on.
The Panasonic Eluga Switch is a mid-range smartphone which sports a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) IPS OGS fully laminated display with Asahi Dragon Trail Glass protection. This handset is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 615 64-bit octa-core SoC along with an Adreno 405 GPU. The phone comes with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of non-expandable internal storage, and a 2,910mAh battery is also a part of this package. The 13-megapixel camera (+LED flash) is available on the back of Eluga Switch, and an 8-megapixel snapper can be found up front. This handset offers 4G LTE connectivity, and Andriod 5.0 Lollipop comes pre-installed on it with Panasonic's Reversible UI installed on top of Google's OS. As far as sound goes, JBL-powered 1.2W dual front speakers are also available here, and the device measures 152.7 x 75.14 x 7.4mm, while it weighs 141 grams. So, you might wonder why is it called 'Switch', well, you can basically use it upside down. No matter which was you turn this phone you'll be able to use its display, and even make phone calls.

The Panasonic Eluga Switch comes in Gun Metal Grey color only, and costs Rs. 19,990 ($300) in India. It is also worth mentioning that JBL's headset is also included in the box.
