Meizu Launching m2 Note In India for RS 9,999

Meizu Technology have announced today that the Meizu m2 note device will be launched in India on Monday, 10 August as an exclusive deal through Amazon India. The device will be priced at Rs. 9,999, approximately $160 or £100 sterling. The m2 note was originally unveiled in June just six months after the original Meizu m1 note, in December 2014. The successor device features many improvements and upgrades to the original device including a better camera module and a new mBack touch-sensitive, context-changing button. It behaves differently depending on what the user is doing. In terms of specification, the Meizu m2 note is very much a solid mid-range device, with internal components that are only a little way short of a 2014 flagship device.

Meizu have built the device around a 64-bit MediaTek MT6753 processor, which is an eight application processor design based on the ARM Cortex A53 core, backed up by 2 GB of RAM and the ARM Mali-T720 GPU. The MT6753 is very much a typical mid-range processor, optimized for low power consumption whilst still maintaining reasonable performance. The m2 note has a 1080p, 5.5-inch display panel, which features GFF full lamination technology designed to reduce reflections and make the device easier to use under bright lights. There's a choice of either 16 GB or 32 GB of internal memory. Around the back, there's a Samsung-made 13 MP sensor together with a dual tone flash. Meizu have worked hard on the camera and included additional features designed to accelerate taking a picture; there's a zero-delay shooting mechanism. The front camera software includes the FotoNation beautifying algorithms for the 5MP front facing camera.

The Meizu m2 runs Flyme OS 4.5, which is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop and is reputed to feature Google's improvement memory management changes. The chassis consists of a polycarbonate shell built over a magnesium-alloy frame. There's a 3,100 mAh rechargeable battery within the 8.7mm thin design and dual SIM slots with 4G LTE connectivity, although one SIM slot also functions as a MicroSD card slot and can take cards with a capacity of at least 160 GB. Customers in India will be able to order the device in blue, grey and pink colors from Monday.
