Google Maps Update Offers Easier Access To Features

Google Maps is one of the most used Google products, it provides accurate maps for over 220 countries and includes a lot of useful features. You can get directions from any two points and you can get turn-by-turn navigation guided by voice while driving, walking or biking. Residents of 15,000 cities and towns also benefit from different transit options when trying to find other ways to get to a place. Another useful feature while driving is the ability to view traffic conditions in real-time, so you can choose the best route. Street View allows you to view a place with actual photos, so you can not only see the place's fa§ade but also know more about its surroundings. This particular feature has been vastly improved over time, with the addition of new photographs of the inside of museums or malls and the ability to reache unusual places like the oceans.

Now, Google Maps has been updated to version 9.13.0, which is available right now on the Google Play Store, along with a few new features. The first one makes Street View more accessible than ever, as now, when tapping and holding on a certain place to view the address, a thumbnail preview of that place will appear on the lower left corner, just tap on that and it will take you to Street View. From there, you can navigate the streets just like before. The older option to access Street View from the place's page is also available in case you miss the thumbnail.

The other added feature is the ability to add missing places from the sidebar menu, so once again, users can access this feature in an easier way. On the screen, users will be able to input the information of a new place such as the name, adjust the address, category and other data. Google Maps currently has detailed information on more than 100 million places and with the help of its users, the information will become even more accurate. Users will be notified about the status of their submitted changes and they could be included in the Map Maker tool under their username.

I've loved technology ever since I touched a computer and I got to experience the transition to mobile devices which was amazing! I got into Android with the Samsung Galaxy S2 and I currently own a Sony Xperia Z3 and a Nexus 7 because I really like the look of vanilla Android. My interests include movies, music, art and mathematics.
