ZUK Z1 Specs Leak Yet Again, Snapdragon 810 Listed

ZUK is a new company backed by Lenovo and Qihoo 360. This Chinese smartphone OEM will manufacture Cyanogen OS-powered devices, well, at least their first handset will be powered by Cyanogen's software. The ZUK Z1 has been leaking for quite some time now, and the company has already confirmed that the device exists, and that it will sport a Type-C USB 3.0 port. Additional teasers posted by the company also revealed that the fingerprint scanner will be a part of this package, and same can be said about a large battery (quite probably a 4,000+mAh unit). The company has already announced an event for August 11th, when they'll officially announce this smartphone.

Speaking of ZUK Z1, a new leak surfaced, and it seemingly reveals the specifications of the ZUK Z1. The device will reportedly feature a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display along with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor was also mentioned by the source, and dual-SIM connectivity option was confirmed as well. The fingerprint scanner and a Type-C USB 3.0 port have also been listed by the leaker. These specs actually go hand-in-hand with the previous leaks.

That being said, the device will also offer 4G LTE connectivity and will ship with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop pre-installed, at least according to previous rumors. Everyone initially thought that ZUK is preparing to launch a mid-range device, but all the leaks which surfaced in the last couple of weeks suggest that the device will sport high-end specifications. The ZUK Z1 will join the likes of YU's Yureka, Yuphoria and Yuphoria Pro handsets which are powered by Cyanogen OS, and it will be interesting to see how will ZUK fare out in the market.

This Chinese smartphone OEM is backed by two huge China-based companies, and they sure managed to get a lot of exposure ever since the company was founded. All that remains now is for ZUK to release the ZUK Z1 handset, and hopefully managed to keep its price as low as possible. There you have it, we'll report back as soon as additional details pop up, and we'll certainly see more rumors / leaks before the announcement event.
