Unannounced Nubia NX513J Is ZTE's Thinnest Phone

Chinese manufacturers have changed their strategies as consumers have proven to care about the materials used in the construction of their smartphones. First, they started off as being affordable devices, but then, the specs were improved and design and build quality was taken into consideration. Now those smartphones are more expensive than they once were, now offering builds that include different kind of metals, very reduced bezels on the side of the screen and hardware as slim as it gets.

This last feature seems to be getting a lot of attention as manufacturers create thinner devices for each iteration and the throne that currently belongs to the Gionee Elife S7 was earned after a few phones got that title and even breaking some records. ZTE, who changed its philosophy at the beginning of the year and it is mirrored in its new logo, has recently introduced the Nubia Z9, their most recent flagship phone and it features an almost bezel-less design on the screen side and a glass back with a metallic frame between these two parts. The company seemed to be ready to introduce its slimmest smartphone yet, which comes from the fact that it received the certification from the TENAA which typically provides most details regarding the hardware of the smartphones, but the page for this particular phone was quickly removed.

The model number of the Nubia branded phone is NX513J and some of the details were reported before the page was pulled down. The most relevant detail is that it measures 6 mm thick, which could seem to be a great difference from the Elife S7, but that actually makes it the sixth slimmest phone in the world. Other specs include a 5.2-inch display with Full HD resolution and its other dimensions are 72.1 mm x 147.8 mm and the design which can be seen on the pictures is typical for the brand with the Home button on the front and red accents like the ring surrounding the glass covering the camera lens. The speaker grille is located on the back this time around, but it seems like the speakers might be rather large. The camera on the back is reported to be an 8-megapixel one and the one in the front is a 3-megapixel one.
