Towards the end of last year, Elephone announced and launched their latest P range device in the form of the Elephone P6000. At the time, this was touted as the first budget device to make use of a 64-bit processor inside. However, it now seems that Elephone have released a revised version of the popular smartphone, which comes with some increased specs and is being dubbed as the Elephone P6000 Pro.
In terms of the specs, much of the basic numbers will remain the same. However, as this is a Pro version it has seen a boost to some of the more demanding aspects like the RAM and the processor. In fact, there are two variants of the Elephone P6000 Pro. The first comes with 2GB RAM and the second comes with an increased 3GB RAM. Both versions see an upgrade (compared to the standard P6000) with their processor boosted to the more powerful MediaTek MTK6753 octa-core processor. This is again a 64-bit processor and clocks at 1.5GHz. Additional features on offer with both RAM variants of the P6000 Pro include a 5-inch IPS display with a 1280 x 720 resolution. Both come touting 16GB internal storage as standard and both come with a 13-megapixel rear facing and 2-megapixel front facing camera. Both devices come running on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) and powered by a 2,700 mAh battery. Both variants also support 4G LTE and their band compatibility includes 2G: GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz, 3G: WCDMA 900/2100 MHz and 4G: FDD-LTE 800/1800/2100/2600 MHz
Therefore, for those looking for a decent spec device which comes in at an extremely affordable unlocked price will want to check these two out. In fact, they are both now available in a pre-order status and can be ordered directly from GearBest. If you are after the 3GB RAM variant, then this one is available to pre-order for only $139.99. While if the 2GB RAM model is enough for you, then this one is even cheaper at $119.99. As such, it is difficult to find a better alternative with similar specs and priced for well under $150.
