Galaxy Note 5 rumors have been going around for quite some time now. We've seen all sorts of leaked images and general rumors, and the device was actually certified by the FCC recently. Earlier today, we reported that the Galaxy Note 5 has paid a visit to Zauba as well, as it was imported into India for testing purposes. The Galaxy Note 5 is expected to be released in September during IFA in Berlin, but that might not be the case after all. A while back, we've seen some reports stating that the device might arrive sooner than expected, in August, and today's report is actually saying the same thing, read on.
According to a new report from Korea, Samsung will hold their Galaxy Note 5 event on August 13th in New York. The report also claims that the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus will launch alongside the Note 5, which was to be expected. Anyhow, the Galaxy Note 5 is said to feature a 5.7-inch 2K (2560 x 1440) Super AMOLED display along with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage (other internal storage variants are possible). Samsung's Exynos 7422 SoC will reportedly fuel this phablet, and a 16-megapixel OIS camera will be available on its back. The 5-megapixel shooter will be located on the front side of this phablet, and Samsung's S Pen stylus will also be a part of this package, of course.
The Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, on the other hand, is rumored to sport a 5.7-inch display, 3GB of RAM and a 16-megapixel OIS camera on the back. This phablet will ship be powered by the Exynos 7420 processor which is also included in Samsung's Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge flagships. The Galaxy S6 Edge Plus will essentially be the bigger variant of the Galaxy S6 Edge, well, at least according to the information we have thus far.
There you have it, it seems like we might see these two devices launched sooner than expected. Samsung will reportedly launch them in August in order to avoid direct confrontation with Apple's iPhone launch, at least that's what the reports are saying. Anyhow, stay tuned for more info, we're certain that the additional Galaxy Note 5 bits and pieces will surface soon.
