Elephone's Upcoming Mid-Ranger To Cost Only $79.99

Elephone is one of the China-based OEMs which are trying to make a name for themselves and differentiate from the competition. This company has been manufacturing really well-built low and mid-range devices for a long time, and then they started to produce higher-end offerings which grabbed the attention of both consumers and the media. The company has recently announced the Elephone P7000, which is a well-specced handset made out of metal, and not long after that, they've announced the P8000 as well. The P9000 is reportedly also going to arrive soon, and Elephone is working on the 'Vowney' flagship handset which will reportedly also come in a dual boot variant (Windows 10 + Android Lollipop).

That being said, a newly surfaced leak revealed yet another Elephone-branded device. If you take a look at the gallery below this article, you'll notice two images there, one showing the front, and the other back side of this handset. According to our sources, this handset will be incredibly cheap, the $79.99 price point has been mentioned. One would think that this will be a low-end handset, right? Well, it seems that won't be the case. We did receive some spec info along with the device images, and according to what we know that far, this handset will sport a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) display, 2GB of RAM and it will also be powered by a 64-bit quad-core SoC clocked at 1.2GHz (quite probably a MediaTek SoC).

Unfortunately, we don't have any more spec info at this point, but that might change soon. This handset looks really decent, though we don't get to see every single side of it. On top of it all, it's incredibly cheap, and it sports an HD display and 2GB of RAM. Considering our source, I'd say this info is very accurate and you can expect this handset to launch in the coming weeks / months. If we receive / stumble upon any additional details regarding this phone, we'll make sure to report back ASAP. One thing is for sure, this handset will be available all over the world via Chinese resellers, so... if you're interested, keep your eyes open for more info.
