Xiaomi has introduced a number of really good smartphones in the last year or so. One of the most compelling devices this Chinese smartphone OEM has launched this year is the Mi 4i. This is a mid-range handset which initially launched in India, but it has a lot to offer and it really doesn't cost all that much. The 16GB variant of this handset was launched back in April, and it costs Rs. 12,999 ($205) in the country, which is a rather affordable price tag for this handset. Anyhow, the company has teased the arrival of a new device a couple of days ago, and have today unveiled a new variant of the Mi 4i, just as we predicted.

Xiaomi has announced the 32GB Mi 4i model in India today, read on. The newly announced Mi 4i handset sports the same specs as the basic version, but it now has double the storage. The Mi 4i sports a 5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display along with 2GB of RAM and 16 or 32GB of internal storage. This handset is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 615 64-bit octa-core processor, and a 3,120mAh battery is also a part of this package. The 13-megapixel camera (+dual-LED, dual tone flash) is available on the back of the Mi 4i, and a 5-megapixel snapper can be found up front. This is a dual-SIM device, and it offers 4G LTE connectivity. Android 5.0 Lollipop comes pre-installed here with Xiaomi's MIUI OS 6 installed on top of Google's operating system.

The 32GB variant of the Mi 4i will be available in Dark Grey color and is priced at Rs. 14,999 ($236) in India. The first Mi 4i 32GB units will be available on July 28th through a flash sale on Mi.com. The company is also offering a free Rs. 500 coupon with every purchase of the 16GB Mi 4i handset until 24th of July, and you can spend that cash to buy accessories or whatever you want in the Mi Store. It is also worth mentioning that Xiaomi offers a free phone case with the purchase of Redmi 2 or Mi 4 in India, though keep in mind that this is a limited time offer, so if you're interested, hurry up.
