Xperia Z3+ Launched In India, Available For $881

Sony has announced the company's new flagship smartphone under the Xperia Z4 name in Japan a while back. That launch event wasn't hyped up by the company, and only a few news outlets knew about it. The Xperia Z4 was launched as Japan exclusive, and Sony launched that very same device a couple of weeks back under the Xperia Z3+ name. There are no differences between the devices either than network bands they support, and their naming. That being said, Xperia Z3+ is already available in a number of markets, and India has just joined that list.

This Japan-based tech giant has unveiled the Xperia Z3+ in India, and the device will be available for purchase starting today. The Xperia Z3+ comes in Black, White, Copper and Aqua Green color options, and costs Rs. 55,990. The phone will be available for purchase across India starting from today, and those who purchase it will get a free Quick Charger bundled in, along with a screen protector already applied on the phone. Anyhow, let's take a look at the specs of this device, shall we.

The Sony Xperia Z3+ features a 5.2-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) Triluminos Display with Live Colour LED-powered X-Reality engine. This handset is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor and an Adreno 430 GPU for graphics. The phone also ships with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable internal storage (expandable up to 128GB via microSD card). The 20.7-megapixel snapper (ExmorRS sensor) is available on the back of this device, and a 5.1-megapixel shooter (Exmor R sensor, 25mm wide-angle lens) is available on its front side. Android 5.0 Lollipop comes pre-installed on this smartphone, and Sony's UI is installed on top of it. The Xperia Z3+ also comes with IPX5 / IPX8 rating for dust and water resistance, same goes for Sony's DSEE HX audio technology and LDAC codec which are also a part of this package.

The 2,930mAh battery is also included here, and the phone offers 4G LTE connectivity (Cat.6), of course. The Xperia Z3+ measures 146 x 72 x 6.9mm, and it weighs 144 grams. That's more or less it folks, the Xperia Z3+ is the premium offering by Sony, and those of you who live in India can now purchase it for Rs. 55,990 ($881). This is quite a steep price point, but if you want to get the latest from Sony... there you go.
