Video Highlights Sony BSP60 Smart 'Dancing' Speaker Benefits

Over the last year, there has been significant development in the way of smartphone accessories. Of course, this is largely to do with the ever expanding internet of things (IoT) and the assumption that everything should be connected to everything else. As such, the last year has seen an abundance of new products hitting the market. One of those which was being shown off by Sony at this year's MWC event in March was the Sony BSP60 Smart Bluetooth Speaker. Although, the name is not that catchy, it seems the speaker is one of those which finds music quite catchy itself. As this has been more affectionately dubbed the 'dancing speaker'.

With good reason too. The speaker has a dance mode which once activated and playing music seems to dance along to the beat. Although, this might sound like a bit of gimmick, the dance mode feature is only one element of the device. This is a smart speaker and as such can offer users a multitude of users. In fact, the company has today released a new promo video detailing the BSP60 and highlighting a number of those features on offer.

Although, the video can only provide so much information, it does highlight that this is a smart device and as well as playing music wirelessly, it does also act an alarm clock and can advise audible of the current time and weather conditions for the day ahead. Not to mention, by simply using voice prompts, the BSP60 can also read back any incoming messages or emails you have received, as well as make calls for you through its hands-free calling feature. In terms of availability, there are still no firm details on when (or if) the BSP60 will come to North America, although pre-orders for the device have already opened in Europe with a price that comes in around the $335 marker. If you want to check out the new video for yourself and see what the Sony BSP60 Smart Speaker can do, then you can by clicking play below. And yes, the video does contain a small amount of dancing as well.
