Meizu M2 Note will be officially announced tomorrow (June 2nd), and we’ll be on the scene, covering the event live from China. This China-based company has scheduled this event a while back, and has also confirmed that the M2 Note will launch during it. It is also possible that Meizu intends to launch some additional hardware at the event considering the company’s recent teasers. Anyhow, we’ve seen a ton of leaks when it comes to the M2 Note, and now we have some new info to share with you, read on.
The M1 Note has launched at the end of last year, and as many of you know, that was a mid-range offering by the company. The M1 Note was really affordable, and yet powerful, and it was one of the best selling Meizu-branded devices ever. The M2 Note has big shoes to fill, and it seems like it’s going to be a rather capable device. Anyhow, the M2 Note pricing leaked on Jingdong Mall, one of China’s biggest retailers. According to the website, the M2 Note will be priced at 1,299 Yuan ($210). This is not expensive, but keep in mind that the M1 Note was priced at $161 at launch, so the M2 Note will be somewhat more expensive. The phone is rumored to sport a metal build though, so it will definitely feel more premium, presuming those rumors are true, of course.
Speaking of the phone’s build, two new alleged M2 Note images surfaced in China. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll once again get to see the front and back side of the M2 Note, and the physical home button which lays below the display. The second image shows the bottom part of the device, and by the looks of it, the M2 Note will definitely be made out of metal. According to the GFXBench listing, the M2 Note will feature a 4.6-inch 1080p display, which seems inaccurate, it’s more likely we’re looking at a 5.5-inch panel. The rest of the specs seem spot on though. The M2 Note will reportedly sport 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and MediaTek’s MT6753 64-bit octa-core SoC. The 13 and 8-megapixel shooters will also be available here, and Android 5.1 Lollipop will reportedly come pre-installed on this device with Meizu’s Flyme UI on top of it.
