The last few months have been somewhat littered with manufacturers releasing their latest smartphones and as a result, there are plenty of options to currently choose from. That said, if you are not after the be all and end all, top of the line device which comes with a top of the range price, then there also seems to be a good selection of much more affordable devices being released too. Not to mention, that just because these devices are classed as ‘affordable’ does not mean that they do not come with some decent specs. For instance, midway through April, Huawei were in London hosting an event and unveiled their latest flagship device, the Huawei P8. However, the P8 was not the only device the company announced and instead, along with the normal version, Huawei unveiled the Huawei P8 Lite.
As the name suggests, this Lite version was designed to be a much more affordable version of the standard P8 but one which comes packing decent hardware. In term of those specs, the Huawei P8 Lite comes equipped with a 5-inch display with a 1280 x 720 resolution. Inside, the P8 Lite comes loaded with 2GB RAM and powered by Huawei’s 64-bit Kirin 620 octa-core processor (clocking at 1.2 GHz). In terms of storage, the Huawei P8 Lite comes equipped with 16GB internal storage and there is also a microSD card slot included, allowing for expansion of up to 128GB. In terms of cameras, the P8 Lite is equipped with a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, which is coupled with a 5-megapixel front facing option. Additional features on offer with the P8 Lite include a 2,200mAh battery, 802.11 WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC and everything comes running on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) with Huawei’s own Emotion UI 3.1 over the top. Not to mention, this is also a 4G supported device. In terms of band compatibility, the P8 Lite is compatible with 2G: GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz, 3G: WCDMA 900/2100MHz, 4G: FDD-LTE 1800/2100MHz
So all in all, it might be a Lite version but does come packing some interesting specs. Of course, the big selling point and what is certainly ‘lite’ is the price of the device. In fact, GearBest has already opened their pre-orders on the P8 Lite which run from now until June 10th and you can pick up the P8 Lite for only $240. However, if you are planning to pick one up on pre-order, then by using our coupon code “P8LITE” you can pick up the P8 Lite for only $206.99. For that kind of money, this really is a great option to go for.
