Today, Bose has announced their newest Bluetooth Speaker, which is the Soundlink Mini II. This is Bose‘ most feature-rich and ultra-portable SoundLink speaker ever, at least according to them. The SoundLink Mini II was updated to feature a speakerphone, so you are now able to take calls through the speaker without any issues. It’s nice and loud, so your caller can hear you. Bose is touting longer battery life, which allows for all day listening, as well as multi-connect for a phone and a tablet. Like most other Bluetooth speakers out there, there are also voice prompts for easy pairing. Bose will be selling this at £169.95. No word on pricing for the US just yet. However, it should be around $179, seeing as the pricing is the same as the previous model.
“The original SoundLink Mini did something remarkable,” said Jack Yu, product manager for Bose SoundLink® speakers. “There was nothing else like it, and it continues to amaze people with its sound. Our engineers kept all that performance — and added new ways to use it and love it.”
Bose has put in an improved rechargeable lithium-ion battery in the SoundLink Mini II. This one lasts up to 10 hours now, and is great for personal listening sessions, and long days of work. Bose is also touting that it can be charged with most USB power sources and also includes a charging cradle. Making it easier to charge up and go whenever you are ready to go. Bose has also tested it’s durability and it will make it indoors and outdoors without any issues.
The SoundLink Mini II remains Bose’ smallest Bluetooth speaker in its lineup. But don’t let that make you think the speaker outputs terrible sound. As you’d expect from Bose, the sound quality is top notch. And it’ll be tough to find another speaker out there at this size and price that can compete at the same level of sound as the Bose SoundLink Mini II. The SoundLink Mini II isn’t available just yet, but it should be very soon, we’ll be sure to keep you updated as to when it’s made available.
