The Xiaomi Mi 4 Has Finally Landed In Malaysia
The Mi 4 was announced back in July 2014 and it was Xiaomi's flagship for last year. This handset sports really compelling specs and great build quality, and even though its availability is basically limited to parts of Asia, it has been selling really good all over the world thanks to resellers. That being said, the company has announced that the device is now available in Malaysia as well, the device is priced at RM1,199 ($333). The Mi 4 features a 5-inch 1080p display, 3GB of RAM and is powered by the Snapdragon 801 quad-core SoC.
Asus' VivoWatch Will Reach Taiwan Really Soon
Asus has launched their VivoWatch smartwatch last month and according to the latest report from Asia, it will launch in Taiwan today (May 8). The watch will be priced at NT$4,588 ($149) according to Asus. More markets will follow this launch, said the company, including parts of Europe and Asia-Pacific. The VivoWatch is powered by Asus' very own KoodOS, and is equipped with VivoPulse which records your heart rate and calorie consumption. Sleep tracking functionality is also included here, and the watch is also water and dust resistant. The VivoWatch's battery can last up to 10 days according to the company.
Intex Aqua Life And Aqua Life II Get Announced In India
The India-based smartphone OEM, Intex, has announced two new devices for the Indian market, the Intex Aqua Life and Aqua Life II. Both of these devices feature 5-inch 854 x 480 displays, 2,000mAh batteries and are running Android 4.4.2 KitKat. The Intex Aqua Life is powered by an unnamed processor clocked at 1.3GHz, ships with 4GB of internal storage and sports 8 and 2-megapixel cameras on its back and front, respectively. The Aqua Life II, on the other hand, is powered by a chip clocked at 1.2GHz and offers 8GB of in-built storage. The device sports 1GB of RAM, along with 5 and 1.3-megapixel cameras. The two devices offer 3G connectivity and are priced at Rs. 5.777 ($90) and 5,555 ($87), respectively.
Huawei P8 Will Reach The South Pacific Region In June
Huawei has recently announced the company's newest flagship, the Huawei P8. This is a very sleek-looking handset, and it offers premium build quality. The P8 features a 5.2-inch 1080p display, 3GB of RAM and is powered by the Kirin 930 octa-core SoC. The device also sports a 13-megapixel OIS camera on the back and is powered by Android 5.0.2 Lollipop which comes with Huawei's Emotion 3.1 UI skin on top of it. The device is already available in China, and the release dates for the South Pacific Region will be announced on June 2nd along with the pricing of this device.
Xiaomi Mi 4i Will Launch In Hong Kong And Singapore On May 12
Xiaomi has announced their Mi 4i handset last month (April) in India. This is essentially a mid-range offering by the company, but Xiaomi actually marketed it as a flagship. Unlike other Xiaomi-branded devices, the Mi 4i has launched in India first, and other markets will follow. The device will launch in Hong Kong and Singapore on May 12, and Taiwan, Indonesia and Malaysia will follow. The device will be priced at $205 in Hong Kong, and $210 in Singapore. The ZTE Blade S6 Is Now Available From JB Hifi In Australia
The AU edition of ZTE Blade S6 is now available for purchase at JB Hifi. The phone is priced at $297 and it is currently (as of writing this article) in stock on JB Hifi's website. The device features a 5-inch 720p IPS display, 2GB of RAM and offers 4G LTE connectivity. This device is powered by the Snapdragon 615 64-bit octa-core processor and it comes with 13 and 5-megapixel cameras on its back and front, respectively. The Blade S6 ships with Android 5.0.2 Lollipop pre-installed with ZTE's skin on top of Google's OS.
Japan-Based DoCoMo To Announced Their Summer Lineup On May 13
DoCoMo is one of the biggest carriers in Japan, and the company has confirmed that they will hold their summer presentation on May 13. DoCoMo will announce their device lineup for this summer, you can expect them to release some news regarding the Xperia Z4 and Xperia Z4 Tablet at the conference, and the launch of Xperia A4 is also a possibility.
