Two New SHARP Phones Join Sony Xperia A4 On NTT DoCoMo

Earlier this morning Sony officially announced a new phone heading to the NTT DoCoMo smartphone lineup, the Sony Xperia A4. It comes packing a 4.6-inch display with 720p resolution and 2GB of RAM powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor. It also holds 16GB of internal storage space and is capable of adding expandable storage via the microSD card slot up to 128GB. Camera wise it lives up to what customers can expect from Sony with a 20.7MP rear-facing camera with an Exmor R sensor, and a 2.2MP front-facing camera for video chat. It also comes in four different colors of white, black, blue, and pink, so there is definitely some choice for those interested, and it's scheduled for a mid-June release.

The Xperia A4 isn't the only new smartphone headed to NTT DoCoMo though, as the company has also announced two new SHARP devices heading to the carrier as well, the all new SHARP AQUOS ZETA SH-03G and the SHARP AQUOS EVER SH-04G. The AQUOS EVER seems to be SHARP's mid-range device coming in with slightly less powerful specifications than the ZETA. It'll be equipped with a 5-inch HD display carrying a resolution of 720p. Besides the screen specs, it also houses 2GB of RAM and is powered by a quad-core 1.2GHz processor. Camera wise it sports a 13MP rear-facing sensor with a 2MP front-facing sensor for video chat, and it holds a 2,450mAh battery, is waterproof, and comes in four different colors of white, gold, black, and pink.

When it comes to the ZETA SH-03G, SHARP has used a 5.5-inch Full HD IGZO LCD display and it also comes with a 13MP rear-facing camera, but listed with some improvements like 4K recording capabilities, a wide angle lens, optical image stabilization and the ability to shoot up to 210FPS. For the front-facing camera the ZETA SH-03G is packing a 2MP sensor. The RAM in the ZETA is upped to 3GB, and instead of the Snapdragon 801 CPU it's said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810. It also holds a larger battery than the EVER at 3,000mAh and comes with more built-in storage set at 32GB instead of 16GB. It will be available in three different colors of white, black, and red. The official dates for release have not been listed for any of these three new phones, but the general time frame is stated by NTT DoCoMo as late-May for the SHARP AQUOS ZETA SH-03G, and mid-June for the Sony Xperia A4 and SHARP AQUOS EVER SH-04G. Official prices have not been listed at this time.
